“Gotta Catch ‘Em All” Pokémon X and Y Launches October
At the E3 2013 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) Nintendo showed off some of the new features of the highly anticipated Pokémon X and Y game. These new elements allow players to connect with other trainers and play with them at any time using the Player Search System (PPS). In addition there are new battle formats that will challenge and develop your Pokémon even more.
Another new feature called Pokémon-Amie allows players to develop a bond with their Pokémon by playing with them, giving them treats, and petting them using the 3Ds and 3DS XL touchscreen capabilities. Also, if you use the 3DS camera your Pokémons will mimic your actions.
After a 10 year gap Pokémon X and Y launch the 18th Pokémon type; Fairy. The fairy Pokémon will have some new characters like Sylveon but players will recognise some familiar faces such as Gardevoir, Marill and Jigglypuff. In addition the new fairy-type Pokémons give the other types weaknesses that will change the battles in a big way.
Nintendo announced that the new Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be hitting shelves worldwide this autumn on 12th October in several different languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Korean and Japanese.
