Kiss goodbye to DUIs with latest self-test breathalyser Floome
It’s believed that approximately 90,000 people are convicted of drink driving related offences each and every day in the UK. To combat this 2045Tech invented Floome, a self-test breathalyser which launched yesterday.
The Floome smartphone breathalyser is billed to be portable, refined and highly accurate. The aim is that it will help individuals make the right decisions about drinking and driving.
After blowing into the Floome the app will test your recovery time to determine exactly how long it will take for you to be able to re-test yourself to analyse whether you are safe to drive again. This is determined by the information you enter regarding your height, weight, age and gender.
The Floome connects to your mobile device via the headphone jack and is compatible with any Android, iOS and Windows smartphone.
The breathalyser works by using a vortex whistle as a flowmeter that matches with a fuel cell ethanol sensor. The Floome is battery-less and can do approximately 25,000 tests.
